What is 3D embossing deck & floor?
“3D Embossing Deck & Floor” refers to an outdoor or indoor floor that uses a three-dimensional embossing process (3D Embossing) on WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) or PVC/composite flooring.
Process and materials
General embossing: A shallow texture, such as wood grain, is created on the floor surface through heat pressing or molding. The texture is usually shallow and has limited tactile feel.
3D embossing: Utilizing deep molding combined with high-temperature heat pressing, textures such as wood grain and stone grain are deeply “carved” into the surface of the floor, creating a three-dimensional, relief effect.
The embossed texture is deeper and more defined, and when combined with the printed wood grain/color, it more closely resembles the natural texture of real wood/stone.
Core Advantages
1. More realistic appearance: The wood/stone pattern is more three-dimensional, with a degree of simulation close to that of natural wood.
2. More natural feel: The surface has a bumpy texture, making it more comfortable to touch, rather than a smooth, artificial feel.
3. Improved anti-slip performance: The bumpy texture increases friction, making it particularly suitable for poolside areas and outdoor walkways.
4. Improved wear resistance: Deep embossing lasts longer than shallow textures and is less likely to wear away by foot traffic.
5. Strong decorative effect: Various effects can be created, including vintage wood grain, deep brushed texture, and stone texture.
Applications
Outdoor: WPC/PVC wood-plastic flooring, suitable for poolsides, balconies, gardens, and terraces.
Indoor: SPC/PVC flooring, with deep wood/stone grain effects, enhances the quality of high-end home decor.
Commercial: Hotels, cafes, resort walkways, and other areas require durable flooring that mimics wood or stone.
